Haida Manga Demo

Tales of Raven is a production house (1977) that under the inspiration of

classically trained Haida artist Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas boldly twists

ancient stories into comic books called Haida Manga. At last year's WUTS, Yahgulanaas spoke for an hour before catching a plane to Tokyo to exhibit his art as part of Vancouver's Bark Design Collective's “No Apologies Necessary” show. This October he mounts his first solo show in Seoul. Yahgulanaas has introduced a new formal and conceptual approach to totemic art and this year we are able to watch him create Haida Manga before our eyes. More info at www.rockingraven.com.
