10th issue of Montreal’s Fish Piss Magazine launched Thursday, October 14th, at Pharmacie Esperanza

In a bigger new format (8 x 10) & just $4 for 164 pages!



Fish Piss will be launched Thursday, October 14th, at Pharmacie Esperanza (12 St. Viateur W., corner St. Laurent), from six P.M. to midnight.



The launch is free admission, with special guest DJs spinning 45s all night. This issue features long interviews with Amon Tobin, Kid Koala, Sixtoo, Joey Shithead, Mick Collins of the Dirtbombs and Les Georges Leningrad.



There is also a feature on independent record labels, including interviews with the labels Dischord, Alien8, G7 Welcoming Committee, Union, Sudden Death, Kranky, Endearing, and Grenadine.



We speak with former Polygram employee (and CKUT fixture) Louise Burns to discuss major labels from inside and out. And there?s more! A huge section on 45 RPM records includes the story of how they were invented, the origins of 12-inch 45s and numerous nostalgic looks back at the classic era of pop and punk 45s.



On more serious matters, there?s the return of our World War Report, essays detailing the facts and myths of missile defense, and what we can expect from either Bush or Kerry in 2005.



Our historical coverage includes the 2nd part of our history of vinyl and the record industry, and the story of the first nuclear attack as told by Hiroshima survivors.



As always, the issue is filled with the work of more than 40 comic artists and 40 writers from across North America and the world.
