Comix jam report for Sunday October 31

Hello everyone, Here's a report of my weirdest Comix jam ever.



First of all and maybe it was my fault since I didn't not send my reminding e-mails in time to you folks, the jam was only attended by five persons: Kurt, Francis, two persons from the public and myself. Then the weird influence of Halloween started its spell. As I was setting up the table, the barmaid informed me that there will be a poetry reading starting at 2 PM. I was very surprised by that since the Casa confirmed to me that the jam was booked for Sunday, October 31. It seems they forgot about us and they booked the poetry event on the same schedule. Thus, we ended up being squeezed at our table by all these amateur poets: Francis dressed as a Russian officer handing out strange chocolate ladybugs with green goo, Kurt giving dadaist comments on toilet and vulva themed poems and me trying to keep the guys quiet as I watch an army of amateur poets ready to scalp alive a few comix book artists. So we broke out seeking political asylum from bad poets at the Assymetrian Consulate (i.e.my place). Sorry that you missed that weird Jam. Next time, we'll be more prepared for a new poet free jam...

Allo à vous tous! Voici le compte rendu du Jam le plus bizarre à lequel j'ai pu assister.



Premièrement, et c'est peu être un peu de ma faute puisque j'étais très en retard dans l'envoi de mes messages, le Jam a attiré que cinq personnes soit Francis, Kurt, deux autres dessinateurs et moi-même. C'est alors que l'influence étrange de l'Halloween se fit sentir. Alors que je préparais la table du Jam, la barmaid m'informe qu'il y aura une séance de lecture de poèmes qui débutera à 2 PM. Ce qui me surpris car j'avais reçu la confirmation de la Casa que le Jam était inscrit à l'horaire pour le 31 Octobre. Il semble bien que la Casa a complètement oublié et que la séance de poésie fut inscrite à la place du jam. Nous fûmes donc en plein conflit d'horaire et nous nous retrouvions ainsi coincés à notre table, encerclés par une armée de poètes amateurs. C'est alors que Francis, vêtu d'un uniforme

d'officier russe a distribué des cocinelles en chocolat fourrées d'une étrange pâte verte, Kurt a donné des commentaires dadaïstes sur des poèmes portant sur des toilettes et des vulves(!), et moi-même tentant désespérément de calmer les gars complètement hilares alors que je surveillai du coin de l'oeil une gang de poètes hostiles, tout prêts a scalper vivants quelques bédéistes. J'ai donc planifié une évasion vers le Consulat Assymétrien (mon appart) afin de demander l'asile politique à l'abri des mauvais poètes. C'est vraiment dommage que vous aviez raté tout ça, vous vous seriez vraiment roulés par terre à l'occasion de ce Jam dadaïste. La prochaine fois, nous serons mieux préparés pour un prochain jam, libre de poètes...
