PPOP! @ Propeller is a group show curated by James Waley and Ruth Tait, that displays, not only the art of Comic Book Artists but their other artwork as well. PPOP! is an acronym for "Paintings, Panels, and Other Pursuits!" and underlies the theme of this show: a gathering and a celebration of comic book artwork and the unflagging creativity of Canadian comic book artists in their many other artistic endeavors whether in areas of film, sculpture, painting, drawing or installation. This show crosses boundaries in art appraisal and ranges across 3+ generations of sequential art creators. Featuring Ho Che Anderson, Nina Bunjevac, Kent Burles, Mike Constable, Dave Cooper, Scott Cooper, Rich Dannys, Ed Furness, Christopher Hutsul, Ron Kasman, Drazen Kozjan, Gerald Lazare, Steve Leblanc, Paul McCusker, Vesna Mostovac, Marc Ngui, Jim Ordolis, Mike Parsons, Paul Savard, Tanya Read, runt, Fiona Smyth, Ruth Tait, and R.G.Taylor in addition to a fine assortment of other characters lodged somewhere inside their heads!
