Arts Funding Update
:: Posted by Bryan @ 9/23/2008 01:00:00 PM  Lagging behind coverage of the Canadian economy and the $22 Billion war in Afghanistan, mainstream media coverage of the arts and publishing/Canadian culture is generally a distant third.
That being said, isn't it ironic how the normally reactionary and knee-jerk conservative Globe and Mail has traditionally had a bang-up arts reporting department?
Not only did they report on the federal government's populist spin on cuts to arts funding awhile ago, now they have also now crunched the numbers on the Harper government's actual cuts to arts funding, as reported in this past weekend's edition.
