Today: Ditko Book Launch, Toronto
:: Posted by Bryan @ 6/18/2008 06:01:00 AM Toronto writer and blogger Blake Bell celebrates the release of his long-awaited Steve Ditko biography. Ditko is one of the top-twenty post-war creators of U.S. kids' comics (Spider-Man, Marvel monster and horror comics) who also has had a very interesting career as a creator of highly personal and idiosyncratic politico-philosophical comics. Bell has spent years researching his life and work.

Comics Industry Night @ The Vic | Jeff Lemire's GHOST STORIES Launch
:: Posted by max @ 10/30/2007 03:26:00 PM It's Comics Industry Night at The Vic! The last Friday of every month, comics industry pros and their friends are invited to come out and enjoy a drink at The Victory Cafe, just south of The Beguiling.
This month's event just happened to fall on Halloween, so what better way to celebrate than to officially launch Jeff Lemire's new graphic novel GHOST STORIES? Jeff will be doing a short reading, and we'll all enjoy a quick pint or two before heading out for our various spooky shenanigans.
